Prefab Versus Suburban Rails

This is the David and Goliath battle we're up against everyday. What's most important to us (the skaters of the world) is that you consider all of your options before you purchase a prefab / modular skatepark from one of the mega skatepark "equipment" companies out there. Please look at all of your options and the other legitimate skatepark design and construction companies out there before making a decision to spend a lot of money on a prefab / modular skatepark.

This is one example of a park bid we went up against in 2007. In 2004 we were working with a wonderful woman who was spearheading a skatepark project for her community. She got frustrated with the "decision" makers in the community and left the project, because they wouldn't listen to her. It's sad, but true. The decision makers contacted the same people that supplied their playground equipment; slides, swings, etc... and paid dearly for a run of the mill park with items pulled from a catalog. All of our designs and builds are custom.

Granted, this park is better than not having a park. but it is not money well spent.

here's a picture of what they got:

they got the above fun box thing and a quarter pipe. for the same price as what we we proposed to offer in the drawings below.
